GENERAL
- Rules are self-policed, although reminders may be given.
- Log all catches and note fishing quality in the logbook in the clubhouse.
- Do not introduce exotic minnows or other species of fish in lakes. Live bait fishing is only encouraged for youth fishermen.
- Report all otter sightings immediately.
- Solitude and Hatchery personnel maintain aeration system. Do not turn on or off and report issues. Fishing bubbles is fine, but watch out for surface floats, and do not fish bottom near lines and diffusers.
CITATION FISH
- All citation fish must be weighed on the official club scale. A new, high accuracy digital scale is located in the clubhouse. If that does not work, the manual scale is the backup
- Note: We will look to get the scales certified yearly by Virginia officials so that members can claim state citations as well.
- Citation fish must be witnessed by an adult and have a picture taken, with the fish on the scale.
- Note: By removing the requirement for finding another member, we can reduce the time the larger bass are kept in live wells. This method is also in line with Virginia Citation rules as well.
